Leslie is an amateur nature photographer, born and raised in New Zealand and now based in Canada. She lives in the Coast Mountains of BC in a small mountain town where she's able to peacefully capture images of wildlife, almost entirely undisturbed by other humans. Her main priority whilst out in the wilderness is respect for the environment, both landscape and animals within. Everything you see from her is ethically and mindfully photographed.
Leslie's background is in biology, holding a bachelor's degree in science, majoring in ecology and conservation. Whilst she doesn't work in this field anymore, this is what sparked her awe and wonder for wildlife.
Leslie has travelled extensively and on a recent trip overseas, a three month exploration of Southeast Asia, she decided she was sick and tired of bringing blurry, cringe-worthy photos of the local wildlife back home. After COVID-19 cut her Asian adventure short, she immediately picked up a DSLR and telephoto lens and began to learn the ins and outs of photography. Fast-forward to today and with a lot of books, watching YouTube videos, a couple of fantastic in-person workshops and countless hours spent in the field, she's now able to proudly display her photos for others to enjoy.
